3 Days to discover mistery Ba Be Lake

Ba Be National Park was established in 1970’s surrounding the Ba Be lake, which is made of three connecting lakes reflecting the meaning of its name “Three Lakes”. This national park lies in the province of Bac Can in Vietnam. Ba Be National Park, Vietnam is a beautiful place for sightseeing in Vietnam, lying in the tropical rain-forest area with over 410 named plant species and 30 wildlife species, surrounded by steep limestone mountains up to 1554 meters high. The main feature of Ba Be National Park is the Ba Be lake.

Day 1 Hanoi - Ba Be Lake (L, D)

Pick up from your hotel at 08.00 A.M and start to drive from Hanoi to Bac Can province with the distance of 250km (From 6 -7 hours driving). On the way we will stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the marvelous Museum of the Culture of the Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam, followed by lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch continue our journey to Ba Be National Park. You will arrive in a Village of Tay’s Ethnic Minority group which located on the side of Ba Be Lake. Check in and relaxing

18.00 Joining to cook your dinner with host and having dinner together. Overnight in homestay.

07.00 Having your breakfast. After that you will get on the boat which will take you through the entire length of the 3 connected lakes (Ba Be - "3 Pools") and up the Nang River, to an astonishing site: Dong Puong (Puong Grotto) , an enormous tunnel (300m long by 30m high) that the river has cut through a lime mountain. We will continue to Cam Ha village where you can observe the peaceful life of the Tay people amongst the green rice fields. The boat then goes up river to the small village of Hua Tang. Having lunch is in a local house alongside the river.

After lunch, a short walk through the jungle takes you to the very scenic Dau Dang Waterfalls, a series of spectacular cascades between sheer rock walls.

16.00 Return by boat for another delightful evening at your homestay.

After breakfast we will stroll along the riverfront, visit some lovely Pac Ngoi village where most Tay people keep traditional houses and hike the upper reaches of the lake, in an area marked by massive limestone cliffs and mountains. Later our car driver will take you to Amazing Hua Ma cave and “Pass” then stop so you can take amazing photos of the terraced fields. After lunch in a local restaurant We continue our journey back to Hanoi, arriving there at around 5.30 PM.
